Come and enjoy this 2 hour beginner willow weaving workshop and invite a new neighbor to move in.
You will learn essential willow weaving terminology, how to create a round bowl base, how to rand, then create a small bird door and finish your bird basket with a plaited/braided handle to hang your lovely new home.
We will discuss how to soak willow, choose rods for weaving, and more. Take home your beautiful bird basket and hang in your garden or hedgerows and enjoy your new neighbors.
Tools will be provided. However, if you have a bodkin/awl, pruners, tape measure and/or locking knife please bring them.
Minimum student age: 13 with paid adult.
